One flat price covers up to 5 computers. It is not per-computer; you are not paying $499.99 each. It is $499.99 a year total, whether you protect one machine or all five, and it works out to two months free against the monthly plan. Add and remove machines as you need, up to the limit, from the Technician tab.
What you get, on every machine:
Scheduled full-system backups to an external drive, on the days that fit each machine
A scan for known threats before every backup, so an infected computer is not faithfully archived
A fingerprint of every backup and copy, checked before any restore, so a backup that will not restore cannot quietly pass as one that will
A real restore test every week: real files pulled back out of the backup, compared to the originals, with a plain-language report and the restored files left for you to open
A Safety Score on the dashboard that says how much of your recovery is actually proven, and drops on its own when something stops running
A second copy on another drive, a network share, or the sync folder of any cloud service the machine already uses
A recovery drive you build from inside the app, for the day Windows will not start
Email alerts for failed backups, failed copies, stale backups, threats, and anything else you need to know about, through a managed relay with nothing to configure
Passphrase protection with recovery codes you control, plus optional two-factor codes from an authenticator app
Full feature access, with no premium tier holding back the security features that matter
The Technician plan also includes:
Coverage for up to 5 computers under one subscription: one bill a year instead of five
The Technician tab: make one computer the master and see every machine on the license from one screen, each with its name, its owner, its Safety Score, and when it last checked in
A report for any machine, exported from that screen, that says exactly what the machine’s own dashboard says
Remove a machine from the license when it leaves your care; nothing on that computer is deleted, and it can carry on with a key of its own
Customer names and notes stay on the technician’s computer only; the relay stores nothing
